There are live readings, performances, workshops, open mics, music, exhibitions, films, family events, street events, a slam and much more, celebrating poetry in the rural heartland of England.

Title: Jane Munro and Ian Williams read at Poetic Justice

Description: Poetic Justice is honoured to have the 2015 Griffin Poetry Prize winner as one of its two featured poets. If you haven’t heard or read Jane Munro’s work, you’re in for a special treat. Jane will be joined by Ian Williams, one of her biggest fans; in fact, they have a mutual admiration for each other’s work. Ian is relatively new to the West Coast but certainly not new to poetry.

Title: 2017 Poetry Incubator application deadline

Description: On July 26–29, 2017, the Poetry Foundation and Crescendo Literary will host the second annual poetry incubator for emerging poets who engage with community through their creative practice. Over three days of workshops and talks, a cohort of twenty-four incubator fellows will learn from faculty, explore best practices for their work, and spend time developing poetry projects based on their own aspirations and the needs of their communities.
