TORONTO – May 30, 2013 – We are very pleased to report that Ghassan Zaqtan’s visa issues have been resolved. He will be joining the Griffin Poetry Prize events June 12-13. Thank you to everyone who has offered their support and good wishes as we’ve worked through this situation.
TORONTO – May 29, 2013 – Scott Griffin remains optimistic that he’ll be able to welcome Ghassan Zaqtan to the Griffin Poetry Prize events and festivities in Toronto on June 12th-13th. The Griffin Trust team is in close communication with the appropriate parties and is working towards resolution of Mr Zaqtan’s visa issues.
The Griffin Trust is grateful for all of your expressions of support and concern. We’re eager and looking forward to paying tribute to the fine work of all of our shortlisted poets and translators.
