Getting More Out of Writing Poetry (afternoon session)

Renowned poet and teacher, Donny O’Rourke has a few places available on this long established, popular and influential, afternoon course. Each week a task is set and the poems it prompts are collectively critiqued in a discussion led by the tutor. Warm, witty and welcoming; that has been Donny’s approach these past thirty five years. The atmosphere is informal without being casual, relaxed, yet rigorous. Learning through laughter. Instant rapport. Empathic intuition. Intellectual intimacy. Constructive candour. A place to take refuge and risks in conditions of enabling trust and nurturing. These classes will suit poets at all levels of talent, experience and ambition.
